Maiden of the Titanic published by the Midwest Writing Center, Davenport, Iowa, 2007.
Cover art by Cecilia Svensson Setterdahl
Excerpt from review by Marie Carlson in Vasa Star, May-June 2009
While this book touches on some historical facts, you also get a feel for life in New York City and Boston at the time. This is a truly romantic novel that takes place during the early 1900, a time when there still was so much to be discovered. This novel also vividly gives you an insight to a by-gone area. I found this book hard to put down, a real page-turner! I am eagerly awaiting a sequel!
From the back cover:
"Maiden of the Titanic humanizes an epic tragedy with the personal story of Anna, whose true identity is closer to the one the shipwreck assigns to her than anyone realizes." Julie Jensen McDonald
"I enjoyed the feel of life in 1912, the sense of a bygone era, the sweetness of romance--the backdrop of historical facts. Sally John
"Readers are sure to find this page-turner hard to put down." Susan Collins
Published by the Midwest Writer Center, Davenport, Iowa, price for new copies $10.00
